Mark Makes Headway

Headway Gwynedd – Three Peaks Challenge

Our friend and local business man Mark Sykes is attempting to climb the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hrs this weekend, he is raising money for Headway Gwynedd, the local head injuries charity.

Headway Gwynedd provided fantastic support to our family during a really difficult time. I want to put something back so it can continue to provide that support to other families,” said Mark, co-director of Beehive Coaching and Leadership Development Ltd.

Headway Gwynedd provides support and information to people affected by brain injury and their carers to improve their quality of life, and seeks to raise awareness in the community and among professionals of the needs of people affected by brain injury and their carers.

The money Mark raises in this challenge will go into the ‘Headway Hardship Fund’ which provides money to the brain injured and their carers if they are suffering financial hardship. This often happens during the immediate aftermath of brain injury.
Off The Beaten Track’, has led fund raising walks for Headway before. On May 15th this year he led a group up Snowdon which raised over £1,150. ‘I am trying to beat that this time!’ says Mark.

We wish Mark well and hope he beats the weather and raises loads of money for a great charity.
