North Wales’ Biggest Open Studio event
Has begun with over 300 artists inviting visitors to experience their normally hidden world. It is a unique chance to chat to artists and craftspeople about their creative processes in their studio environment.
Studios open 11am to 5pm
7,8,9 ∞ 14,15,16 ∞ 21,22,23 ∞ 28,29,30 September 2012
I have had the privilege of meeting the artists and taking their photos for PR purposes. Creative people are never creative in one direction. Artists paint, draw, take photographs, print, work in mixed media, create digital art and installations. All the 147 artists and craftmakers across Gwynedd, Conwy, Flintshire, Denbighshire and Wrexham create work which will inspire you.
So use the website to hunt out artists and build your itinerary for the weekend.
Get out and find the flags www.helfagelf.co.uk
Using the website you will find information on studio locations, artists’ profiles, a gallery of images, directions to the studios, satellite maps, access information and opening times.
New funding from project supporters has allowed the Helfa Gelf Art trail to include the minibus tours and drop-in workshops during the event. The Helfa Gelf Art Trail project has received funding through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007–2013, which is funded by the Welsh Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
Full details of the minibus tours and drop-in workshops are available on the
Helfa Gelf Events Calendar .
Get out this weekend and do something different…
